Be the Love Yoga + Wellness is DELIGHTED to be a magnet for first-time yogis and an inspiration point for practitioners coming back to yoga.

We want you to know that we are here to help you discover yoga, learn yoga, and be a place where you can settle in and develop your own yoga practice.

Our classes are intentionally designed to support you at every stage in your practice - beginner to experienced practitioner - we have something for everyone.

Common Questions + Answers

The following are a list of questions that people commonly ask us before arriving at our studio. If you have a question that is not on our list, please contact us using the contact form for the fastest response.

Do I need to know how to do yoga before coming to class?

  • No way! Many people in our community are brand-spanking new to yoga. That’s why we have classes like Yoga Lab (Sundays at 12:30pm) and Love Slow + Gentle (Saturdays at 10:30am), so you have a chance to go super slow, try your first class, and see how it goes!

Do I need to be flexible to do yoga?

  • Absolutely not! Many of our teachers are not naturally flexible. That is WHY we do yoga in the first place! Regular practice of yoga will help your body gain range of motion, flexibility, and strength as well.

What should I bring to class?

  • While we have yoga mats available to use in the studio, we recommend bringing your own mat and water bottle.

Do you have beginners classes?

  • Yes! Yoga Lab on Sunday at 12:30pm is our Beginner’s Yoga class. Each class introduces a small series of poses, similar to one another, and talks you through alignment, and what you can do to get the most out of that pose.

  • We also recommend beginners to try Yoga Nidra (meditation, fully reclined, no movement) Mondays at 7:45pm and Love Slow + Gentle (gentle yoga class) on Saturdays at 10:30am.

Is it possible to meet with someone before I come in?

What if I get a pose wrong?

  • Gosh, you guys. We live in a world where it can feel like there is no room for error. I can promise you that there is no such thing as “perfect” in our room. Even as teachers, we need adjustments from time to time. That is why we have created an environment with knowledgeable, caring staff, that want to see you do well. We’re here to help.

But I’m not skinny.

  • FRIEND: GET IN HERE. We know that yoga, as an industry, has a reputation for being attractive to a certain type of person. We want you to know that here, at Be the Love, we have people of all shapes, sizes, ages, and abilities. If you have a body, and you breathe, you can do yoga here with us. And who knows - you might even enjoy it.
